We love what we do!
Joanna and Jimmy Cooper made Key West their home in 1993. Since then they have enjoyed living in the beautiful Florida Keys with their daughter Caya, and son Andreas. Over the years of meeting wonderful people on the island, Joanna & Jimmy have found like-minded people who share their ideals and ideas of what an island wedding can and should be.

With over 20 years of wedding experience, Jim is known for his easy-going personality, extensive musical knowledge, and a willingness to accommodate special requests. His knack for detail makes him one of the most sought after DJ/MCs in the Keys.
JIMMY VILLEGAS
DJ / MC
Quick with a joke and a smile, Jimmy's personality brings calm to what can be a stressful time. He has over 10 years of DJ/MC experience, giving you the versatility you need on your special day. As with all Sound Wave DJ's, he lives and breathes music.
SHAWNA WYND
DJ / MC
A girl DJ? Only if she is as qualified as Shawna! With years of wedding experience as an event planner, Shawna has added Mobile DJ to her resume, and we are thrilled to have her with Sound Wave. Also a radio DJ on-air for years, Shawna has extensive musical knowledge, and is full of personality!
SPYDER

Hailing from South Africa, DJ Kevin "Spyder" Wright has been involved in both music and video production in Key West since 1996. His love of music is rivaled only by his love of diving the beautiful tropical waters around the Keys. We are happy to consider Spyder and his family a part of the Sound Wave family.
ED SALAZAR

Ed Salazar is a native Conch who's been videotaping weddings in Key West for over 20 years. Ed enjoys being part of the excitement of this special day and says "Every wedding is unique and offers me a chance to capture forever the emotions and details of the day.... from the nervous yet love filled voices of the bride and groom saying 'I do', to the fun of the guests dancing and celebrating the newlyweds."


DJ MIKE

Announcing the return of DJ Mike! Mike has fulfilled his Coast Guard obligations, he is back in Key West, and Sound Wave has got him. In addition to several years of wedding experience, Mike was also a DJ for years at Rick's nightclub in Key West. He is familiar with all styles of music, and he is our reggaeton expert! Welcome back, Mike!
GREGORY BARROSO
DJ / MC
Gregory Barroso is a 4th generation conch (born and raised in Key West). His love for music started in the early 80s, as he watched his family dance to the disco beat. In the 90s, Gregory was personally requested to travel to DJ / MC for graduations and weddings taking place throughout Florida. He left Key West for a short time to serve his county in the US Army; however, continued to earn extra money as a DJ in the NCO clubs and night clubs around the Austin, Texas area. We were first introduced to Gregory when he returned home to start his family. Gregory picks up right where he left off; without missing a beat!
